Pool House AV Installation Reading

Cre8tive Rooms were tasked with the design and installation of a complete AV system for a beautiful new pool house at a client’s home in Reading. Having previously installed a full Savant system in the main house, the new pool ‘rooms’ were simply added to the Savant app for seamless control across the property. The three main areas covered in the installation were: audio, video and lighting.

In keeping with the main house, lighting in the pool house was powered by Rako. Although smart lighting is certainly present, it was decided that lighting would be kept separate from the Savant app and controlled with custom programmed switches instead. Each room has its own custom programmed Rako switch to control the room individually along with a master switch which controls all rooms at once. This gives a simple solution to power on the various downlights as well as our hidden LED mood lighting and power off everything at once.

The audio around the pool is simply remarkable and it’s all completely hidden! This is thanks to four specialist speakers and subwoofer from Sonance all neatly hidden and plastered over inside the ceiling. This delivers incredible sound and serious volume without disturbing the minimalist design of the room. The gym also has its own mini system with four Artcoustic 2-1 ceiling speakers whilst the outdoor patio area has a punchy Sonance 16.2 landscape system hidden in the flower beds.

Savant video was used to distribute all video sources from the main house to two LG Gallery waterproof TVs in the pool house as well as a further TV located in the gym. This allows the client to enjoy Apple TV, Sky and more with all audio feeding through the awesome sound systems.
