Cre8tive Rooms were approached back in October by a kind gentleman who was renovating a charming house in South West London. Being in the film and television business, the client was determined to include a screening room to experience cinema exactly as was intended by the producer. Space inside the property was limited so the cinema was to be housed in a modest outbuilding nestled to the rear of a quaint courtyard garden. Starting with a blank canvas, we completely transformed the space into a luxurious private cinema that delivered an unrivalled viewing experience. The entire project was managed in house, from the initial design right through to joinery, plastering, electrics, carpeting and decorating. We built bespoke cabinetry to span the entire rear wall complete with LED lighting, power sockets and a mini sink for beverages with all other walls being covered with beautiful, upholstered panelling. From a technical standpoint, the room was to be operated by a dedicated Neeo remote from Control4. Artcoustic speakers were chosen to create a punchy 7.2.2 Dolby Atmos sound system with blackout blinds from Q-Motion to eliminate any light interference from outside. The Sony Laser VPL VW790ES Projector from a short throw distance produces and incredibly bright image in both 16:9 widescreen and 2.35:1 Cinewide formats. Four authentic cinema seats in a gorgeous red velvet take centre stage on a soft carpeted floor with hardwood flooring to the rear for practicality.
